The Shoal Creek Showdown carries decades of community tradition under a new name — and now the stakes are even higher. Anderson and McCallum are official Austin ISD district rivals, meaning this game counts in the standings. Bigger name, bigger stakes, bigger opportunity. The same great game Austin has loved for generations.

1973

The modern iteration of the rivalry begins.

2002

The game finds a title sponsor identity, becoming a beloved Austin tradition. Community roots deepen as the event expands into a full celebration.

2025

The game is officially rebranded as the Shoal Creek Showdown — a new chapter for sponsorship, growth, and the game's legacy in North Austin.

What's Included

The selected title sponsor receives comprehensive visibility at every touchpoint — from school campuses to the stadium to living rooms watching on KBVO.

4.1 Advertising at Game Locations

Signage: At least one banner/sign with the sponsor's logo and/or message will be displayed at both Anderson High School and McCallum High School. Specific locations will be determined in consultation with the Booster Clubs and the School District. This signage will be displayed at each school for the entire 2026 football season.

In addition, at least two banners/signs will be displayed at House Park on game day.

All signage and branding is subject to approval by the School District and must comply with applicable district policies regarding commercial advertising on school property.

Public Address & Program

Public Address Announcements: Sponsor recognition announcements will be made periodically throughout the game at House Park.

Program Recognition: The sponsor will be recognized in the official game program for each school (if applicable).

4.2 Branded Apparel

Sponsor Logo on T-Shirts: The sponsor's logo will be prominently displayed on official game t-shirts. The Booster Clubs, in coordination with the School District, will determine the design and manage production, with input from the sponsor on logo placement. The sponsor will receive 10 of these t-shirts.

4.3 On-Site Activation

Sponsor Spirit Event: The sponsor will be granted the opportunity to host a pre-game or post-game spirit event at their business location or other location to be determined. The sponsor is responsible for all costs associated with the event (venue, staffing, refreshments, etc.). The Booster Clubs will provide reasonable support in promoting the event through school communication channels (website, social media, etc.), subject to School District policies.

4.4 Digital Recognition

Social Media: Acknowledgement in game-related social media posts by the Booster Clubs.

4.5 Additional Benefits

The Booster Clubs are open to discussing additional sponsorship benefits, such as:

— Tickets to the game

— Opportunity to distribute promotional materials (subject to School District approval)

— On-field recognition (subject to School District approval)

All additional benefits must be arranged at least seven (7) days before game day — on or before October 8, 2026.
